Chairman's message October 2021
As you may or may not know, there are some six defibrillators in the village, but we have taken the decision to purchase one for club use and for those living in the immediate neighbourhood.
We are waiting for the external cabinet to arrive that will house it on the exterior of the club house so in the meantime we are putting the machine inside the club house (I have sent an email for those members who do not have a key to explain how to get into the club house so you can access the defibrillator in an emergency).
Although it is a fully automated machine and explains exactly what you need to do in an emergency, we are going to offer an evening when a first-aider will run through how to use it.
We hope that it will never need to be used, but please can you advise one of the committee if it has been used so that replacement pads can be fitted, ready for the next emergency.
Regular checks will be made to ensure the pads and battery are in good order.
Thank you and keep safe.
Best wishes, Jenny
